With his experience in a Bordeaux grocery store, Thomas teams with up with a partner and opens Nouvelle vague, a delicatessen specializing in fishery products.

Thomas and Paulo created this colorful and warm place thanks to their meeting with all the canneries offered in the shop, from the old french cannery to the popular portuguese cannery.

Thomas says that Bordeaux is the best place for a shop around sea and river fishing.

Fun fact : Some of their clients have become friends and send them Nouvelle vague postcards or even cans from abroad.

Freshly arrived in Bordeaux, Chloé created in 2015 her first boutique Mieux featuring a selection of women's clothing and accessories. With success knocking on her door, she bought the neighboring store to expand. One boutique is dedicated to apparel and enables her to develop men's clothing, and the other is dedicated to accessories & jewelry.

This story is above all a family affair since she launched with her husband her own brand of tee-shirts with modern and funny graphics.

Her two boutiques appeal to young and old alike thanks to their modern style and affordable prices.

Fun fact: Located in the center of Bordeaux, she often has foreign customers who visit her stores. One day, one of her salesmen who doesn't speak English very well called her and asked her for the translation of the term written on the T-shirt: skateboard.

Ten years ago, Daniel created a transportation company in Bordeaux. After several requests for day trips to visit Bordeaux chateaux, he decided to change his offer and started selling tours departing Bordeaux. Success was fast, so he brought on board Julie, an independent guide to help him develop his wine tours.

Very impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis, he decided to take advantage of this time to develop with Julie their project around wine and to reach a new clientele, the Bordeaux locals. They bought a place in the center of Bordeaux and created a wine shop as well as tasting workshops.

Authentic and human, Julie and Daniel share their passion for wine and their encounters with fascinating wine makers.

Originally from Bordeaux, Laurent-Pierre began by creating the coffee shop Blacklist in 2014. An innovative concept that blends quality coffee and a creative catering offer. He rose quickly to success , so he decided to sell it to buy back in 2017, the tea house - bookstore named "Les mots bleus", a Bordeaux institution.

Located on rue Poquelin Molière, the restaurant is named Horace, after one of the characters in “L'Ecole des femmes”. The charm of the place invites you to relax, between a beautiful stone wall and the calm of the street : a typical Bordeaux street by its architecture .

Horace presents itself as a quality coffee shop thanks to their roaster Oven Heaven, a Bordeaux store, which places itself as one of the best European roasters. A modern restaurant also compliment the spot by offering a menu of fresh and homemade products with a vegetarian offer and a developed natural wine list.

In 1948, the CIVB, Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, was created and moved into the former premises of the Hotel Gobineau, next to the Place de la Comédie. It’s objective is to promote Bordeaux as a wine region and to make it known internationally.

In 2006, some Spanish tourists came to their offices because they wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately for them, it was just an office and no wine tasting was organized here. This was all it took for the president of the council to decide to create a wine bar on their premises.

In order to continue the philosophy of the CIVB, they created a chic, relaxed and accessible place; a point of visibility for all the Bordeaux winedealers and winegrowers. With an unbeatable quality/price ratio and waiters at the top of their game, the CIVB bar became a must in Bordeaux.
